Moholoholo & Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre

This tour focuses on the protection and rehabilitation of wildlife in South Africa, offering an incredible opportunity to witness firsthand the conservation efforts dedicated to preserving some of the country’s most iconic species.

Our journey begins at Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, where dedicated staff often face the difficult decision of how to care for injured or poisoned animals that cannot be released back into the wild. As a result, many animals find a permanent home at the centre, where they serve as ambassadors for their species. During a guided tour, you'll have the chance to get up close to fascinating creatures, including White Lions, Sable Antelopes, Zebras, Giraffes, Leopards, and Honey Badgers, among others. The tour also highlights the challenges of conservation and habitat protection, giving you deeper insight into the ongoing efforts to safeguard these animals.

Following the tour, we'll stop in Hoedspruit for lunch before continuing to the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, which is dedicated to the survival of endangered species. The centre works tirelessly to maintain diverse bloodlines of Cheetahs and to rehabilitate Rhinos. A visit here will offer a closer look at these remarkable animals, with the Cheetahs and Rhinos being among the highlights. Another unforgettable experience is the Vulture Restaurant, where hundreds of vultures gather when food is provided, creating an awe-inspiring spectacle. The centre is also home to other endangered species, such as Wild Dogs, Leopards, and even a resident Ground Hornbill.

Kruger Sunset Safari

A Kruger National Park Sunset Safari is an unforgettable experience that offers a unique opportunity to witness the African wilderness after dark. As the sun sets and the park’s daytime animals retreat, a completely different world emerges under the cover of darkness.

During a night safari, you'll journey through the park in a specially equipped open vehicle, guided by an experienced ranger or tracker who knows the animals' nocturnal behaviours and habitats. Equipped with powerful spotlights, your guide will help you spot wildlife that is more active after sunset, such as leopards, hyenas, lions on the prowl, and a host of smaller, lesser-known creatures that typically remain hidden during the day, like owls, genets, and bush babies.

The night safari is a sensory-rich experience. The sounds of the bush come alive — lions might be heard roaring in the distance, the shrill calls of owls pierce the night air, and the soft rustling of unseen animals echoes through the underbrush. The darkness adds an element of mystery and excitement, as you may only glimpse fleeting shadows or glowing eyes from predators stalking their prey.
